I’ve lost count the amount of times a site has contained the word “Ice” in the domain name. IceGay.tv is the only one that I remember and keep coming back to. Maybe the others are trying to profit off the successful domain name, and steal traffic. Either way, none of them hold a candle to this hot gay tube. The site seems to have been created in the tail-end of 2016, you’d think that by that time the market would be saturated but nope, icegay.tv has some in clutch. It gets roughly 3 million + visitors per month and has gone from strength to strength over the years, and become a favourite of all you gay porn lovers. 

Icegay.tv seems to cater towards people who love professionally shot videos, there isn’t really many amateur videos on this site, so if you’re looking for that homemade touch, maybe look elsewhere. I lost count when trying to tally up the numbers of videos on this site, but I believe it’s somewhere in the tens of thousands. The catalogue of gay porn here is immense. There is a growing trend nowadays of tube’s using other sites content, for instance aggregating videos from other sites. This may be handy as a nice search portal, but IceGay hosts its own videos.

One of the cleanest designs I’ve seen

I love a clutter-free experience when browsing for porn. A lot of sites will put needless graphics and endless animated banners, it just ruins the whole experience. I like simplicity, and IceGay delivers on that front. The site has a neutral colour palette, my one issue though is the luminous green that’s used with the ratings thumb. I guess it needs to stand out, but that wouldn’t be my choice. I don’t expect site owners to have a masters in art design, but I do expect them to know that less is better when watching video sites.

The site’s thumbnails are neatly organised, usually though a site would have a preview when hovering over a thumbnail, but unfortunately this site lacks that feature. No big deal though, the content makes up for it, but would be nice to see what we are getting. The videos are nicely titled, and it shows the runtime, so you will know whether you are getting a teaser or a full movie. Each video page shows the amount of ratings a video has, so you will know whether it is truly hot or not. However, don’t take other people’s ratings as gospel, make your own mind up and give it your very own rating.

Praise the lord! The site has a trending searches section, finally someone who has common sense to put the most common searches, making browsing and finding what you want so much easier. The current three trending searches at the time of writing are “dad”, “Arab” and “black”. Now, they wouldn’t be my first three picks, but the crowd has spoken. I must say though that those three would make such an interesting combination. There was even a search for “poppers”. I’m not sure if someone was just confused as to which site they were on, or they actually wanted to see guys have sex under the influence. I must say some of the army guys are hunks, but I need to see their credentials as I have a sneaky feeling they’ve never seen combat in their life.

There are various filters to feature by top-rated, newest and popular and the obligatory length slider. No one in the history of the internet has ever searched for a video of two minutes, I usually put the slider between 10–30 minutes as I’m greedy. Small clips don’t do it for me, and I like to lay back and enjoy the show. The shorter clips are also usually promotional videos for affiliates, which lack most of the action and the money shots. Think of it like a trailer.

There is a distinct lack of ads, which I also like. No obnoxious pop-ups, just a few tabs on the top navigation. “Gay Games”, “Live Sex” and then “HD Porn” which link to either affiliate sites or other sites from their network. The fewer banners a site has, the easier it is to browse on a mobile, which we are thankful for. There is a video overlay on some videos I found, but that disappears within 10 seconds, or you can click the X to remove it. There is also a small pounder on the bottom right, but again, that also removes itself after a few seconds.

Icegay is full of absolute hunks

I’ve never seen so many hotties on a site than I have this one, absolute god’s of men. Chiselled abs, facial hair you can strike a match on, and that’s only on the first page. It feels like I’ve been spoilt to be honest with you. For a free site, it has such a premium feel. Especially in the quality of the videos. Most of them on the main page are in stunning HD format and playback is buttery smooth. There is of course no download feature, but that becomes a norm nowadays as bandwidth isn’t cheap, and when you’re serving over 3 million visitors that’s going to add up.

One of the first videos I saw was titled “Lusty Hunk gets spit roasted by two handsome men”. Well, colour my intrigued, I just HAD to find out for myself. These alpha males absolutely had their way with this guy, I almost felt sorry for him at one point. You will see Men.com, SeanCody and Falcon Studios as the most popular ones. NextDoorStudios has over 1300 videos alone, with 800k Views, so you can see what others find the most popular. I like this feature as a lot of people have their own favourite studios and finding them here is a breeze.

IceGay also tracks the videos you have watched also, without you having to do anything. So you can see which videos you’ve watched in the past, which makes finding your old favourites very easy. You do not need an account for this, it does it automatically, and clearing your cookies will reset this. It doesn’t have a user account facility on here, so you can’t sign up for an account and save your favourite videos, which is a shame. At least it does it for you, though.

Conclusion

IceGay does exactly what it says on the tin. It brings you free HD gay tube videos, there is no bullshit here. The videos are of great quality and of decent length. It’s nicely laid out, highly categorized and very easy to browse on your mobile device. It has few drawbacks, but my main issue was there was no way to sign up for an account to comment or personalise videos. You can of course upload your own videos, but that won’t belong to your profile. If approved, it will be sent into general rotation. As far as viewing experience goes, not many sites beat it.
